The Dri-Eaz DrizAir 1200 is a refrigerant dehumidifier that has been certified by Intertek Testing Services, a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) using Edison Testing Laboratory (ETL) safety standards, to Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standard for safety for dehumidifiers UL 474, and to Canadian Standards Association (CSA) 22.2 no. 92 standard for dehumidifiers. It is also verified by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) for water removal capacity and energy factor.
This dehumidifier can remove up to 145 pints of water per day at saturation and 64 pints per day under the AHAM test conditions of 80 degrees F and 60% relative humidity (RH). It has an operating temperature range of 33 – 100 degrees F, draws 6.4 amps on a 115V power supply, and processes air at a rate of up to 227 cubic feet per minute (CFM).
The display panel of the Dri-Eaz DrizAir 1200 offers language options in Spanish, German, French, and English. The dehumidifier's pump basin is attached to a 40' hose for the removal of condensate across wide spaces, and it has a 25' power cord for access to a power supply across large spaces.
The unit features a built-in duct attachment ring for use with Dri-Eaz layflat polyvinyl ducting (sold separately) to facilitate control of air circulation and drying efficiency. Its rotomolded polyethylene housing provides consistent wall thicknesses and strong outside corners for resistance to damage and leaks.
For efficient use of storage space, up to two DrizAir 1200 models can be stacked. The dehumidifier also has a rigid, telescoping handle and semi-pneumatic wheels to facilitate transport.
The Dri-Eaz DrizAir 1200 comes with a 3M HAF Filter (included) to protect its internal components from dirt, with replacement filters sold separately.
Dehumidifiers, such as the Dri-Eaz DrizAir 1200, are commonly used for drying applications in the cleaning, building maintenance, and restoration industries, as well as to control the humidity levels in offices or homes. A refrigerant dehumidifier, like this one, uses the same kind of refrigeration technologies found in air-conditioning systems to condense water vapor into water, which is then pumped automatically out of the unit into a drain, sink or out a window.
Dri-Eaz, the manufacturer of the DrizAir 1200, was established in 1980 and is based in Burlington, WA. The company specializes in the production of dehumidifiers, air movers, structural drying systems, and air scrubbers for water damage restoration applications, as well as for the drying, cleaning, and building maintenance industries.
